Desert Museum Day Camp at the Mission Garden

Meet the Desert Museum at the Mission Garden! This one-day camp focuses on outdoor exploration through a variety of hands-on activities. Campers will learn to use a nature journal, be exposed to the history and culture of the Mission Garden, and search for interesting plants and wild animals that call this area home. Located at the base of ‘A’ Mountain, and Tucson’s birthplace, the Mission Garden is rich in history and a beautiful place for your camper to spend the day!
The Mission Garden is located at 946 W. Mission Ln, Tucson, Arizona 85745.
Safety: The health and safety of your camper and our staff is our priority. As such, the following measures will be in place and adhered to.
- The group will be small (10 campers) with two adult leaders
- Health screening of all campers & staff upon arrival
- Socially distanced classroom seating
- Majority of camp time will be spent outdoors exploring the Mission Garden
- Fitted masks worn properly required at all times
- Snacks & lunch are eaten outdoors without sharing food
- Increased hand washing & sanitizing throughout the day
- Increased cleaning & disinfecting of frequently touched areas

Details
Limit 10 participants
Campers need to bring their own snacks and lunch, water bottle, hat, wear sturdy shoes and layered clothes for the weather. In addition, masks must be worn properly at all times.
Cancellations
If cancellation is made more than 15 days from scheduled date, a $25 administrative fee will apply. No refunds can be made within 15 days.
