Program Description — Meet the Neighbors: Living with Desert Wildlife

As a Sonoran Desert dweller you have the privilege of living in one of the most biodiverse and interesting habitats. We have many species here that occur here and nowhere else on earth! During the presentation you’ll learn about the Sonoran Desert through animals, plants, and artifacts; and even get to meet a few of our friends up-close! You’ll walk away with a newfound appreciation of our desert home and its inhabitants.


Reservations with Education Programs require a 30-day minimum advance notice. Programs are offered Mon-Fri during June, July and August; and Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri from September through May and are scheduled based on availability. Early registration is always recommended. The reservation is confirmed when your confirmation letter with reservation number has been faxed and/or emailed to you. Please allow 10 business days for response.


We expect number of students and adults might vary by a few. It may not be possible to add an additional program or change a date. Remember availability is limited. Please contact us as soon as you need to make a change at 520-883-3025 or email: education@desertmuseum.org.


Please notify us as soon as possible of a cancellation. If cancellation is made more than 15 days from scheduled date, a $25 administrative fee will apply. No refunds can be made within 15 days. Contact us at 520-883-3025 or email: education@desertmuseum.org.


Please have a place for us to park our vehicle as close to the program room as possible.

Program Fee:

$120. Additional travel fee of $15 will be added for Joyner-Green Valley, Sahuarita, Geasa-Marana and Dewhirst-Catalina branches.
