Isabella's Story

Hi my name is Isabella Gonzalez Potter, and this is what I’m going to do to be a leader for a shared planet:

I want to start my own garden.

During Earth Camp we went to the farmers market at the Food Bank to make our own lunch and we learned about all the gas mileage and fuel used to get our produce and food to us. They discussed that by having your own garden your food doesn’t need any transportation in order to get to you so you are helping the environment. There are also many other benefits of having my own garden including:

So, This is my plan of action to be a leader for a shared planet.

Hi

I'm Isabella during earth camp I got the chance to go to Biosphere 2. I saw different types of environments in one place. It was pretty cool. My personal favorite was the rainforest environment because it was a nice tropical place. To me it was interesting to have different environments of the world in a small area and all being controlled and operated by humans using machines. If you ever get the chance to go to Biosphere 2 you should check it out for yourself because it is really like nothing else in the world!

Hi I'm Isabella

During Earth Camp I also got the chance to spend 4 days at the prescott college site at Kino Bay. Due to me being in the ocean team I got to spend more time by the ocean. We did a good amount of snorkeling, swimming, hiking, and checking out the area. I really enjoyed Kino and spending a lot of the time by the water.

While at Earth Camp I also got the chance to do lots of snorkeling in Mexico. It was probably one of my favorite parts of the trip because I love the ocean and it was amazing to be able to see all of the ocean life in front of you first hand. I recommend snorkeling to any ocean lover who wants to see some pretty incredible things underwater.

While in Mexico during earth camp I got the chance to ride on a boat to a remote beach where we spent the night. The boat was really nice we even ate dinner and got to snorkel off of it. It was really cool because it was the first time I camped out on the beach and it was really fun.
