Walk With A Keeper

Unique opportunities to experience the Desert Museum through the eyes of an animal keeper. Two tours are offered - a year-round walking tour and a seasonal tour (Jan - May). The walking tour is approximately 45 minutes and covers 1/4 mile. The seasonal tour lasts approximately one half hour and, during winter, takes place in the hummingbird exhibit.

Walking Tour

Guests meet animals up close (otter and bighorn sheep) and go behind the scenes and learn about animal care.

• Thursdays and Sundays only
• Tour is $25 in addition to regular admission price. No children under 12 allowed on tour. No coupons or discounts are valid for tour.
• Tickets must be purchased by 10:00 a.m.
• Tour starts promptly from the otter exhibit @ 10:30 a.m., guests should gather there at 10:15 a.m.
• Tour is fully accessible via wheelchair and scooter. Some behind-the-scenes areas are not available to service animals.
