Raptor Days
Saturday and Sunday, Nov 10-11, 2007
Special raptor events from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Celebrate the beginning of the Raptor Free Flight season by participating in Raptor Days on November 10th and 11th. As you explore the Desert Museum, search for raptors and clues about their lifestyles. Experts will be on hand to help you identify native raptors. Learn about raptor migration, nesting, vision, conservation, and highlights about Sonoran Desert Raptors. Also new this year, get a sampling of our Art Institute class, Eye on Raptors. Learn to recognize raptor behavior as you do quick sketches and gesture drawings of our birds in the gallery.
As always, enter our drawing for a behind-the-scenes tour for six people with Raptor Free Flight. We will raffle off the tour after the 1:30 Harris' Hawk demonstration at the Raptor Free Flight site. Winners must be present!
