Coati

Learn a Little More About Coatis

Come learn about the newest members to our Interpretive Animal Collection, the coatis. They will be joining our Ark school programs this year, but you can see them on grounds every Saturday in September at 9:30am for a half-hour presentation in the Yucca Ramada. The coatis will demonstrate their agility, sense of balance thanks to a long tail, and sharp sense of smell -- come nose to nose to learn about how they use their long snouts to locate one of their favorite foods -- grubs! In addition to the coatis, meet one of their nocturnal relatives, the ringtail. Watch our ringtails pounce and climb as they naturally would in search of their prey. Trainers will be on hand to answer your coati and ringtail questions.
