The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum will re-open at 11 a.m. today. While the source of water loss is still unknown, water is flowing into, and collecting properly, in the Desert Museum’s reservoir. Food service will be limited to pre-packaged items for the remainder of the day. All other activities are back on the normal schedule. Thank you.

Archives 2002: Owl Discovery

March 30, 2002
Coati Kids learned all about owls, especially Barn Owls. From making owl finger puppets to learning what about owls makes them such great hunters to what they eat, the Coati Kids learned it all.

They found out why owls regurgitate pellets and they dissected the pellets to see what they would find inside. Then they got to watch the owl during the free flight program.

Finally, they each got to have a close up encounter wtih a Barn Owl.
