Program Benefits

• Join a community of practice including scientists and educators from local schools, the University of Arizona, the Planetary Science Institute and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, all dedicated to helping teens understand and use data to become better stewards of their environment.

• Bring 21st Century learning alive with satellite, shuttle and space station data and imagery you can use to help students practice inquiry, explore the frontiers of technology, experience science in personal and social perspectives, and master Earth Systems Science skills and concepts.

• Apply science knowledge and technology skills to engage in positive community action projects and environmental stewardship.

Professional Development Credit: 96 credit hours

Stipend: $500, with additional compensation available for leading out-of school activities
