Cool Summer Nights 2015 Photo Contest

Rules

We want to see your best images!

There are three categories based on the type of cameras used.

• Category 1 - Advanced is for advanced cameras that have interchangeable lenses.
• Category 2 - Basic is for all other kinds of cameras including camera phones, point and shoots, superzooms etc.
• Category 3 - Instagram is for Camera Phones or Smartphones that can use the Instagram App

Limit of 3 entries per person. You may enter more than one category but make sure that each entry is appropriate to your camera type. One or more prizes will be awarded in each category. Three prizes are an admission to the Behind the Scenes Photowalk at the Art Institute for the winning photographer. Prizes are not transferrable, and have no cash value. Winners must arrange to take the class by April 30, 2017.

Photos must be taken at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum within the last year. Winners will be selected by our Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Judges. Contestants may enter any divisions appropriate to your camera type but may submit only three photographs total.

Who can enter?

Contest is open to all paid visitors and Museum members, employees, volunteers, docents, and their families, but images may only be taken from public areas during regular business hours.

Contestants retain all rights to their photographs, but give the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum permission to use such images for presentations and promotions with photo credit to the photographer.

What Photos are eligible?

Photographs may be enhanced, retouched, composited or modified with digital editing such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Instagram etc. Show us your most interesting, compelling, beautiful and fun images of the Desert Museum!

Deadline to Enter:

Images must be submitted on or before Midnight August, 25, 2015.

Entering your image in the wrong category or failure to follow any of the rules will result in disqualification without notice, and you definitely won't win! Judges decisions are final.

Winners need not be present to win, but it would be more fun.
